Hi, friends! It's Spring Break for many schools in upstate NY, and I am happy to report that some spring-like weather has finally shown up! Temperatures have reached the mid-sixties, and we've had lots of sunshine which has truly been amazing. I love this time of year when my flowers start blooming and things actually start turning green again. Spring is so refreshing after a long winter, but it's also the time of year when my husband and I start getting super busy. Between our two families, we have 3 birthdays in May alone, so our weekends quickly book up with various functions and celebrations. Given our busy schedules, I like to get a jump on gift giving, starting with Mother's Day. Believe it or not, Mother's Day is less than 3 weeks away already! But don't fret - I've got you covered with my Mother's Day Gift Guide.
Below are some great gift ideas for Mother's Day, including a few favorites of mine. Overall these are all versatile gifts - meaning they work for all the different kinds of moms in your life. And since you all know by now that I'm a girl on a budget, I've selected a few ideas at various price points. Read on for all the gifting inspiration!

This is one of those books that you should buy for everyone in your life who enjoys reading. No seriously - buy it for your mom, your friend, your sister...you get the idea. This is such a great book! Eleanor Oliphant is a main character you cannot get enough of. This book made me laugh out loud at times and brought me to tears at others. I thoroughly enjoyed this uplifting coming of age story. If your mom is more of an audio book person, I highly recommend the audio book too, which was really fun to listen to.
A sweet friend of mine makes these wineglasses, along with mugs, graphic tees, sweatpants, totes, and more. Her goods come with different sayings, which are all funny just like her. She is a momma of two littles, so let's just say she understands the joys and frustrations of motherhood! On top of her merchandise being super cute, she also donates a portion of each sale to the Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo. You should definitely check out her site. And don't go thinking that just because you are an adult, you shouldn't get this for your mom. I promise that you cause your mom to need a glass of wine from time to time!
I am a big fan of trinket dishes since they are great for stashing jewelry and other small objects. And these handpainted stoneware trinket dishes are just so pretty! I bought one for my sister for Christmas last year, but really I wanted one for myself. You should buy one for your mom and get one for yourself while you're at it. :)

Duh - your mom deserves pretty jewelry.
This cookbook is a sweet gift for any mom who likes to cook. The book is completely customizable - so you add family recipes and can also add notes, photos, etc. After filling the book up with family recipes, it becomes a keepsake to pass on to future generations to continue on with the family's cooking traditions.
Your mom also deserves pretty flowers. You should buy her some - especially if you cannot be together on Mother's Day. My husband recently sent me flowers from The Bouqs Co on my birthday and they arrived in perfect condition. They were so pretty and lasted quite a while.

Call me old fashioned, but for me, receiving a hand-written note is so special. It's just more thoughtful and personal than an email or text will ever be. Minted has some beautiful personalized stationary in a range of styles, so you can pick the design that suits mom best.
I think perfume makes a nice gift because it can get pricey, and it therefore might not be something mom is splurging on for herself. I love this scent from Burberry - it has a light floral scent that is so refreshing. Just be sure you know generally what types of scents mom likes (floral, citrus, etc.) before buying her any perfume.
9 | The Night Sky
Okay this one is a crazy thoughtful gift. I love the sentiment of these star maps, and they look great too. Using the website, you input a date and a map of the stars on that actual night is created. The star map helps the recipient remember that special moment - when they were married, when their child was born, etc. I love a personal gift, and I have been wanting to gift one of these since I first learned about them a while back.

10 | Winc
So remember how I told you that at some point in your life you have caused your mom to consume wine? Well why not pay mom back by replenishing her wine supply! I have been using Winc for over a year now, and I love it. Winc is a wine delivery service - so every month I receive 4 bottles of wine that Winc selects based on my profile, preferences, and ratings of other wines they have sent. The wines are seriously delicious, the prices are reasonable, and with the 4 bottle plan, shipping is free. Get your mom started on Winc with a gift card amount of your choosing, and then sign up for yourself!
I stumbled upon Naturally Chic Gifts a while back when their beautiful gift baskets for bridesmaids caught my eye. Side note - if you are getting married in the near future, check out their beautiful gifts, including personalized champagne flutes. The products on this site sound amazing - choose from pre-made spa gift baskets (including new mom/baby baskets), or you can completely customize a basket for mom. First you select the products (deep detox bath soak - yes please!), then you pick the box you like, and any add-ons you want to include. You all know I love to make spa gift baskets myself - but these ones are so pretty and packed full of amazing products, I just might have to give them a try.
12 | FabFitFun
If you haven't heard of FabFitFun, it's a subscription service that delivers beauty, fitness, wellness, and home products to your home each season. In each shipment you receive 8-10 full-size products to try, which are selected based on the season. Each box only costs $50 but is valued at over $200. You can keep the contents a surprise, or go online and customize the box (i.e., if you don't want fitness products you can swap those out for something else) before it's shipped. This is such a treat for any woman in your life - even just the beauty products alone give you a reason to pamper yourself now and then. My sisters and I have all signed up and we all wait around for each shipment because we cannot wait to open the box and see what we've gotten! It's really a fun and exciting gift - I promise when the first box shows up, it will make mom's day.
And that's a wrap on my gift guide - I hope you have found some gifting inspiration here and have learned about a new product or service.
