Hello from week 7! I went from thinking I had all the time in the world to finish this room to realizing we only have 1 week left! Eek!
I’m going to keep this week’s post short and sweet cause, let’s be honest, I need to work on the guest room! I did want to talk quickly about art and décor for the space. As you may recall, I want to keep the décor minimal. I say that a lot, however, and my décor never ends up that way, so we’ll see.
No but really, I splurged on some of the furniture because it’s so beautiful and the furniture pieces are like pieces of art all on their own. So in terms of artwork on the walls, I am mostly reusing the art that was already in the room (and still deciding whether the mirror will stay). I am, however, very excited about the addition of a new piece of artwork from Great Big Canvas. You guys, this canvas is so huge I made my husband pose next to it.
See, I told you it was big! I think it will go over the bed given the scale, but still need to figure all that out and hang everything.
I also have one of my favorite pieces of art staying in the room, which is also pretty large. Given that, I’m adding some smaller artwork to mix up the scale. I downloaded this artwork from Etsy, printed it at home on Canvas paper, and put it in a frame I already had on hand.
I am also still finalizing the bedding, but getting there. I know, not much detail there, but I can’t give too much away before the reveal next week! :)
